## About Metix AI

- Metix AI, formerly OpenJobs AI, is a Silicon Valley-based AI recruiting company building Mira, an autonomous AI recruiter that manages the full-cycle hiring process from job understanding and candidate search to personalized outreach and interview scheduling.
- We have raised $5.5M across two oversubscribed seed rounds within six months, backed by investors including Rsquared Investment, LongRiver Investments, Fengshion Capital, and technology executives. Our customers include high-growth technology companies and multinational businesses across social commerce, generative AI infrastructure, robotics, and other emerging sectors.
- Unlike traditional HCM or ATS software, Metix AI is focused on delivering hiring outcomes, not just workflow tools. Mira is built on a vertical recruiting model and agent architecture, powered by a feedback loop from real hiring signals such as candidate replies, interviews, offers, hires, and retention.
- Mira now covers talent profiles across 190+ countries and has helped customers shorten hiring cycles, schedule first-round interviews faster, and reduce repetitive recruiting work. We are also partnering with Deel to connect recruiting, EOR, and global payroll capabilities for companies hiring across borders.
- We are now expanding our North America commercial team across sales, GTM, client success, and CEO-led strategic initiatives. As the company grows, the CEO needs a high-ownership operator who can move between strategy and execution, create structure where there is none, and make sure important work does not get lost between functions.
- This is a hands-on operator role for a high-potential, early-career candidate who wants broad exposure to how an AI startup is built and scaled.

## What you'll do

- Work closely with the CEO on the company's highest-priority operating projects across GTM, sales, client success, recruiting delivery, partnerships, and internal operations.
- Translate CEO priorities into clear workstreams: define the goal, identify owners, set milestones, track progress, and push for completion.
- Help manage the operating cadence of the U.S. team, including weekly priorities, follow-ups, decision notes, action items, and cross-functional accountability.
- Support founder-led sales and partnership conversations by preparing research, briefs, follow-up materials, client context, and next-step plans.
- Help coordinate client opportunities after initial conversations, especially when the work cuts across product, recruiting delivery, sales, and client success.
- Build lightweight systems for pipeline tracking, customer follow-up, internal reporting, hiring plans, event follow-up, and founder workflows.
- Attend external meetings, Bay Area events, customer conversations, and partner discussions when useful, then translate what happened into concrete next steps.
- Conduct research on customers, candidates, competitors, investors, partners, events, and market opportunities.
- Help the CEO communicate clearly with internal teams by turning scattered context into structured updates, docs, dashboards, or project plans.
- Take on special projects that do not yet have a clear owner, especially in the early stages of new business lines or GTM experiments.

## Who you are

- Based in the San Francisco Bay Area or willing to relocate. This is an onsite-first role.
- 1 to 5 years of experience in business operations, strategy, consulting, investing, founder's associate, chief of staff, GTM, sales operations, client success, recruiting, HR Tech, or startup operations.
- You are highly organized, fast, and reliable. When something is assigned to you, the CEO does not need to wonder whether it is moving.
- You are comfortable with ambiguity and can create structure without waiting for a perfect process.
- You have strong written communication skills and can turn messy conversations into clear follow-ups, memos, action items, and plans.
- You have enough business judgment to understand sales conversations, client needs, product tradeoffs, and operational constraints.
- You are willing to pair strategic thinking with hands-on execution: research a market, join a client meeting, fix a tracker, follow up after an event, or chase down an internal blocker.
- You have strong attention to detail and a bias toward follow-through.
- Mandarin-English bilingual ability is a strong plus, given our cross-border client base, founders, and delivery teams.
- You are genuinely interested in AI, recruiting, future of work, and how autonomous agents will change enterprise workflows.

## Bonus points

- Experience working directly with a founder, CEO, investor, or senior executive.
- Background in consulting, venture capital, private equity, investment banking, BizOps, or early-stage startup operations.
- Experience in HR Tech, recruiting, staffing, executive search, or B2B SaaS.
- Bay Area startup, founder, investor, HR, or recruiting network.
- You have built internal systems from scratch using tools like Notion, Airtable, HubSpot, Clay, spreadsheets, CRMs, or AI agents.
- You already use AI tools heavily in your own workflow.

## This may not be for you if

- You want a narrow, well-defined function with the same responsibilities every week.
- You need a mature management layer, clean processes, and a clear org chart before you can be effective.
- You dislike context switching between sales, clients, operations, recruiting, product questions, and founder priorities.
- You are uncomfortable following up repeatedly until something is actually done.
- You prefer advising from a distance over owning hands-on execution.

## Compensation

- Expected base compensation is USD 80,000 to 160,000 per year, depending on experience, role scope, and fit. Performance-based bonus and equity may be available depending on seniority and business contribution.
